Orphan Islamic School (Dar Al-Aytam)
The building is located in the Old City of Jerusalem. It is bordered from the North by ´Aqabat (road) at-Tekiye, from the south by ´Aqabat (road) as-Sarāya, from the East by Al-Wad road, and from the west by Khān Az-Zait market.
Dār Al-Aytām school complex covers an area of about 4600 m2. It consists of two parts: the first is the industrial school; the second part is the academic school. Orphan school consists of a group of buildings, some of them were built during the Circassian Mamlūk period, and others are from Ottoman period: Dār as-sitt Tunshuq, Ribāt Bāyrām Ğāwīsh, Khāsikī Sultān Tekīye, Mawārdīya School, Dār al –Hukūma, Sarāy al- ´Adl, Orphan school.
