Omari Mosque in Ghaza

The mosque is located in the downtown of Gaza beside Sūq al-Khudār (Vegetables) street, adjacent to a Qaisāriyā. The mosque covers an area about 4100m², from which 1190m² as an open courtyard.

The central part of the mosque is the basilica cathedral with its Romanesque cruciform piers.

In the Ottoman period, a three compartment’s riwāq was added.
