Fatimid mosque in the Monastery of St. Catherine

The monastery lies in the monastery valley below Sinai Mountain. The mosque lies to the southwestern side of the church. It has a rectangular in plan with a small semi detached minaret to the northern corner. The inner space consists of six compartments by means of two cross formed piers supporting circular arches running parallel and perpendicular to the qibla wall.
