The monument is located outside Bab Zuwayla at the intersection of Ad-Darb Al-Ahmar street leading to citadel and Radwan Qasaba in front of As-Salih Tala ’i ‘ Mosque. It was built 811 H./1409A.D during the circassian Mamluk period (784-923 H./1382-1517 A.D.).
The mosque represent a unique historical case of Mamluk Architecture. The exterior and the interior of the building is richly decorated.The ground floor includes and the entrance hall, sabil and the prayer's hall, to the north a room and a staircase. On the mezzanine level there is a second room.
