Erbil Citadel
The citadel of Erbil is a testimony of history and is one of the oldest continuously inhabited urban settlements in the world with archaeological evidence of Assyrian, Akkadian , Babylonian , Persian , Greek, pre-Islamic and Islamic settlements.
The citadel is composed of three main sectors: Saray, Tubkhana and Takiyya sector.
