Bath (Hammam) ash-Sharaibi

Ash- Sharaibī Bath is located at al-Azhar area in Historic Cairo. The bath date back to the late Circassian Mamlūk era as it was built by Sultan Al-Ghūrī in the vicinity of the house of his son an-Nāsirī Muhammad. The date of foundation most probably is 909AH/ 1503 AD. The bath's plan consists of the following architectural elements:

A small entrance, Al-Maslakh (Apodyterium), Water closets (Karasī), first room (Tepidarium), Hot Room (Caldarium), Washing Room, Fire Place (Hypocaustum).
